Summer Event 2013: Decoding the DNA of the Coach
Summer Event 2013
Knowledge meeting: Decoding the DNA of the Coach
Beyond tools and techniques, coaching models, or a coach's specialization (executive, business, life, etc.), there is a key factor that determines success – or failure – of the coach in a fiercely competitive market in Greece and abroad: The quality of coaching practice. This quality can be assessed – and developed.
Based on the latest research on coaching, the EMCC has developed a unique competency framework which helps coaches understand and develop their key coaching competences in order to become effective practitioners. Very often, maximizing their coaching potential and moving to higher levels of competence requires also a sustained behavioral change from the coach, which can be achieved through a rigorous reflective process.
This knowledge meeting will allow participants to explore the 8 key competences which comprise the EMCC model. Using case studies and the experience of participants, the competences will be explored in order to help participants understand why they constitute the basis for an effective coaching practice and how they can be acquired, developed and sustained.
Participants will also have the possibility to benchmark their coaching competencies against the model through a competence self-assessment.
This knowledge meeting will be facilitated by Gilles Gambade and Kostis Tsounakis, both members of HCA/EMCC Greece.
